Today, Dovetail Games released a deep dive on the March 2026 roadmap plans for its hit simulation title, Train Sim World 6.
The first stops on the Train Sim World 6 March 2026 line are Liberec – Stará-Paka and Expert DB BR 145 from TSG, which are both releasing this week. The Nuremberg High Speed Route was also announced, allowing players to experience a new German high-speed route out of Nuremberg developed by Train Simulator Germany.
For route remasters and updates, there will be four this month, with three of them being remasters:
- East Coastway Remaster
- Great Western Express (GWE) Remaster
- Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen Remaster
- Medway Valley Line

While there are plenty of releases coming in March for Train Sim World 6, the roadmap also provided an update on work-in-progress builds, with a few exciting new announcements.
First, the NEC: New York to Stamford is continuing work on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor expansion, with the first look at the M8 electric multiple unit seen above. West Coast Main Line (WCML)is also being worked on in two seperate sections by multiple developers: Crewe to Milton Keynes (All Aboard Studios) and Crewe to Preston (Just Trains). The timetable features 2,301 services across the full day, with 478 playable services drawn from 35 layers, as well as High-speed intercity, regional stopping services, and a substantial freight presence, which combine to create a dense and believable operating environment.
The Class 390 leads with 135 playable services, supported by Class 805 and 807 diagrams, extensive Class 350 commuter workings, and a broad mix of freight traction. The route will also feature a series of characterful collectibles hidden across the map, like rogue wheelsets that pay tribute to the historic Wolverton Works, Rugby balls appear in recognition of the town where the sport was born, and the Tamworth Spud.
The High Iron Simulations team is also working on multiple projects for Train Sim World 6, starting with the GP60M. The GP60M and GP60B, rolling stock, and gameplay are in testing, with the former set to be included with both its as-built console control configuration and its Dash 3 rebuilt configuration featuring a Wabtec AAR-style control stand.
This pack will include a three-unit articulated spine intermodal car with multiple loads, an ex-Santa Fe Ga-series cement hopper in three BNSF liveries, a 3-bay ribbed-side covered hopper in BNSF livery, and an 89-foot auto rack in BNSF livery. Southern Ore Pacific Line is also nearing completion, as development of the locomotive and rolling stock is ongoing. Route equipment includes:
- Southern Pacific Electro-Motive GP35 in the railroad’s famed scarlet and gray livery and with SP-specific details. The locomotive will be provided with both Southern Pacific and Cotton Belt lettering.
- Southern Pacific C30-4 steel bay-window caboose with modernized features and full interior. Across multiple classes, the Southern Pacific operated more than 900 similar bay-window cabooses.
- Distinctive Magor-built ore-hauling gondola with dumping capabilities.
- 43-foot acid tank car.
- Southern Pacific 56-foot anode flat car.
Another cool announcement is the reveal of the Snoot Nose SD40-2: a new US heavy freight train being developed by Adamovic Productions. These American locomotives were built between the 70s and 90s and share many similarities with the SD40-2, and you can see some examples in the images above.
Union Workshop also provided an update for the TAdami line in the Train Sim World 6 March update, showcasing that the windshield’s shape has been modified since we last saw it, and the guard key has been added for door operations, and that work is being done to refine textures for the exterior of the train.
Following up on last month’s State of the Game update, Dovetail Games noted that they are still testing improvements to PS5 add-on mounting, blurred text, and optimisation issues that console players have been facing.
The Santa Fe on Cajon Pass Gameplay Pack and the Stuttgart route even received some improvements and updates following feedback. The former will include more than 40 total refinements and fixes to the locomotives, rolling stock, and gameplay elements of the pack, while the latter will be updated to include a DB BR 423, removing the requirement for Frankfurt S-Bahn, and therefore natively including over 400 services in both the original 2000 and the DB BR 147’s 2018 timetables.
Last but not least, Dovetail Games revealed the Train Sim World 6 community event challenges for the month, which can be seen below:
Tier 1 Challenges:
- Spring Cleaning – Complete a Timetable while it’s raining and the temperature is above 5°C.
- Like a Train in the Distance – Drive 30 miles/48 km.
Tier 2 Challenges:
- Mixed Signals – Complete 10 Timetables
- March Madness – Complete 3 Scenarios
- Failure is Not an Option – Drive 200 miles/321km, but this will only count if you successfully complete the scenario and timetable challenges first.
