Last week, Dovetail Games announced that the DB BR 147 add-on was set to release for Train Sim World 6 today, March 31, 2026. Earlier this morning, the developers revealed that the release has been delayed on all platforms until further notice.
According to the developers, the delay is due to discussions about recurring crashes across all platforms and their desire to address these issues before releasing the Add-on to ensure the best possible experience. It does look like the main issue behind the crashes has been identified: unreleased installed Add-ons conflicting with the Stuttgart-Heilbronn route.
It should also be noted that the planned livestream event for the Add-on has been delayed. At the moment, there is no release date has been announced for Train Sim World 6 DB BR 147.
Alongside the announcement of the delay, Dovetail Games acknowledged the issues with the Class 90 Freight Loco Add-On and is monitoring feedback. Some of those issues include controller prompts and feedback, audio and visual bugs, physics jittering, and controller mapping.
When it is released, the Add-on is set to add new, specific in-game features, like A brand new model, unrelated to the BR 187 already in-game Train Faults (Pantograph Failure, Wiper Blade stuck, and Door Faults on the passenger coaches), audible passenger announcements, in-depth screen navigation, and ergonomic controls.
Train Sim World 6 DB BR 147 Add-On will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $17.99 and requires the base game to play. For more info on this and the rest of the massive March roadmap, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
