Today, Rivet Games announced the release of the East Coastway Remastered to Train Sim World 6, coming as a free update to all existing owners, and arriving alongside the release of the Southern BR Class 171 & BR 377/3 on February 26, 2026.
Train Sim World 6 ECW Remaster includes ToD4 lighting, updated landscape and foliage, new track/ballast textures, and the addition of the disused Newhaven Marine station. The Southern BR Class 171 & 377/3 pack is paid DLC, costing $16.99, and introduces the diesel Class 171 (in 2-car /7 and 4-car /8 variants) and the 3-car electric Class 377/3.
This train is a variant of the Class 170 operated by Southern, with the primary difference being the fitting of a Dellner coupler, rather than the usual BSI coupler, for emergency coupling to Southern’s EMU fleet. The Class 171 operates diesel services over the Marshlink line between Ore and Ashford International, connecting to Brighton.

These stop only at Polegate and Lewes, except for the first service of the day, which makes additional stops between Lewes and Brighton. Audio improvements have also been made, which will be backported to Birmingham Cross City and Fife Circle Class 170s.
Class 377/3 units were originally built as Class 375/3s for Connex South Eastern, but 28 of them were transferred to Southern. Their designation was changed when they were transferred to reflect the fitting of DOO equipment, and their change to Dellner couplers, and are formed of three carriages and are third-rail only.
A completely new timetable based on 2017-2018 data features 322 playable services (up to 1,008 with all layers), including Class 171 Marshlink services between Brighton and Ashford International:
Compatible Layers:
- Railhead Treatment Train
