Today, during the finals of the Rainbow Six Invitational tournament, Ubisoft had quite a few announcements to make for fans of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, including “Rainbow Six Siege X.”
It’s defined as “the biggest transformation in the game’s history which introduces new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, and major upgrades all around.”
While not many details have been shared, below you can check out a teaser trailer ahead of a reveal livestream on Twitch that will happen on March 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. PST, noon EST, 5:00 p.m. GMT, or 6:00 p.m. CET, depending on where you live.
For the moment, that’s basically all we know, so we’ll have to wait about a month to know more.
That being said, Rainbow Six Siege X isn’t all fans of the franchise are getting today, starting with the cinematic to introduce the tenth year of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
We also get to take a look at the next season, Operation Prep Phase, which certainly sounds like it’s a preparation for the next stage. It’ll come in March 2024 and below you can see its CGI trailer introducing its operator, the attacker Rauora from New Zealand.
Rauora’s speciality is map control thanks to her D.O.M. Panel Launcher. She can deploy bulletproof panels from a distance. These panels can be opened and closed to create new tactical opportunities.
You can check out how it all works in the video below.
If you’re unfamiliar with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it’s available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
The game has been a staple of Ubisoft’s lineup for many years, and it has been one of the best performers in the company’s financials.
It’ll be part of the Esports World Cup 2025, and you can check out Ubisoft’s esports plans for the game going forward.
