Flight Simulation developers shared news today, including two aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and an airport for both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020.

Native Transall C-160 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Coming this Month

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Transall

Azurpoly announced the imminent release of a native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of its Transall C-160 military transport. It will come out this month for both PC and Xbox.

The aircraft has been fully rebuilt with the new modular architecture and it includes the following features.

  • Sound package enhanced by Echo19.
  • Improved textures and overall visual quality (massive use of detail maps on the fuselage, new rivets and exterior decals, new high-resolution nose texture).
  • New tires model and textures, with deformation.
  • New animated cockpit sun-visors.
  • Five additional liveries (French and German).
  • Exclusive flare launch system, with each flare simulated as an independent object.
  • Enhanced paratrooper models with improved drop animations.
  • Improved electrical system with better simulation (buses, generators, transformers, etc).
  • More realistic hydraulic system with separate circuits (red, green, blue), using new FS24 modular approach.
  • New pneumatic system with more variables calculated.
  • Interactive walk-around mode, with lift platform to access the top of the aircraft.
  • SimBrief integration in FMS (flight plan import).
  • Integrated GNS 430 and GTN 650 (TDS Sim & PMS50) units.

The MSFS 2020 version will also get an update likely next week, including the new sound package by Echo 19 and several fixes and improvements.

The MSFS 2024 version will cost $35, and upgrading from the existing MSFS 2020 version to MSFS 2024 will cost $10. The price of the MSFS 2020 version on its own will be lowered to $28.

Beechcraft Baron B55 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Released

Carenado released its Beechcraft Baron B55 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It’s now available on the official marketplace for $24.99.

It includes the following features:

  • 8 liveries + 1 white.
  • Aspen Avionics EFD1000 PFD option or steam gauges
  • Bendix King KFC 225 autopilot.
  • Garmin GNS530 and GNS430. GTN750/GTN650 compatibility (pms50.com or tdssim.com).
  • Garmin GMA 340 audio panel.
  • Garmin GTX 330 transponder.
  • Weather Radar Bendix King IN-182A
  • Panel Circuit Braker operative.
  • Dual digital fuel flow indicator and fuel calculation.
  • Realistic HQ digital sounds.
  • Realistic flight dynamics.
  • Tablet interphase for switching between GNSs and GTNs (if installed).
  • Tablet interphase for switching between Aspen PFD and steam gauges.
  • MSFS2024 Career ready: Ferry Flight and Charter Service.
  • Carenado RealXperience features such as attitude indicator startup, shivering needles, panel shaking among others.

Tawau Airport Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020

Shadescene released Tawau Airport (WBKW) in North Borneo, Malaysia, for both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020. It’s available on Simmarket for $17.13.

It includes the following features.

  • Custom terraforming 
  • Custom scenery objects for the Terminal, Hangar and more 
  • Hand-placed Taxiways and Runway light system. Taxiways center, Taxiways edge, Runway light system, etc.
  • Full Day/Night lighting.
  • Hand-crafted ground markings and textures.
