The combat system got a considerable amount of information, showing off boss battles, various abilities, and the numerous enemies you’ll be facing, ripped straight from the anime. Combat in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin revolves around each hero’s use of three different weapons and Tag Skills and Burst System, which further expand on these combat styles.

Tag Skills are activated when switching heroes and consume a Tag Gauge that fills through normal attacks and skill use, and are designed to be used strategically in a variety of combat situations, such as countering specific boss patterns or providing buffs to allies. The Burst System uses a combination of elemental attributes and hero combinations, where each weapon grants its own elemental attribute.

Each boss battle features unique mechanics based around the Tag Skills and the Burst Gauge:

  • Red Demon – uses powerful area-of-effect attacks and dangerous patterns, but with well-timed Tag Skills, you can interrupt its strikes and create opportunities to counterattack.
  • Gray Demon – takes to the skies after a certain period of time, launching airborne assaults. However, using specific heroes’ Adventure Skills, you can shoot it down, leaving it stunned and giving you the upper hand in battle.
  • Albion – leverages its massive size in a three-phase encounter that cannot be overcome through simple attacks and dodging alone. Victory lies in utilizing environmental elements that appear during the fight to disable the boss and strike at its core on the chest.

Alongside the gameplay, it was also revealed that the event will take place at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which is scheduled for September 25, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan. At the event, 12 playable heroes, along with the ‘Fairy King’s Forest,’ the homeland of the Fairy King, King, will be revealed. Visitors will also be able to experience open-world exploration firsthand, using flying mounts that were previously only shown in trailers.

There’s no release date for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, though it’s scheduled to release sometime this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices (Android and iOS), and will be released for all consoles across the world simultaneously, giving anyone and everyone a chance to experience the fun at the same time.
