Ubisoft revealed the next season for Rainbow Six Siege, the third for year 11, titled Operation Split Fire.
The centerpiece of the new season, which starts on September 1, is Noor, a new defender operator from Egypt. His primary weapons are the Commando-9 or the Alda 5.56, while the TACOPS 1911 and Bailiff 410 are his options as secondary weapons.
He’s also equipped with barbed wires or a deployable, which allows him to fortify. His personal gadget can counter shields with rocket munitions.
Kali and Dokkaebi are getting adjustments. The Villa map is getting a targeted update, while Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo, and House, alongside the shooting range and Tutorials, are getting visual upgrades.
Arcade is being expanded with a 3v3 mode, followed by the Wasteland Circuit event. Doktor’s Curse will also return for Halloween.
Below, you can check out all the videos released about the update, and as usual, Ubisoft really doesn’t seem to understand what “anime” means.
You can also find the full reveal panel aired at the Esports World Cup in Paris, France. There’s plenty of information to digest, including developer commentary and explanations of how the team is reacting to player feedback.
If you’re unfamiliar with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it’s currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
