Today, Ubisoft revealed the roadmap for year 11 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, alongside the first season and its operator, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
Season 1 is dubbed “Operation Silent Hunt” and as mentioned above, its new operator will be Solid Snake, who is an attacker and will be a permanent addition to the roster.
He comes with a scanner to gather intelligence on the enemy and the iconic TACIT .45 handgun. Of course, he is voiced by his original English-language actor, David Hayter.
We hear a comment on the addition from Creative Director Joshua Mills.
“We’re excited to bring the world of Metal Gear Solid series into Rainbow Six Siege with Season 1’s new Redacted event, a limited‑time 4v4 infiltration mode where Snake and Zero lead a team of elite Operators to recover stolen data. Players will also discover exclusive skins such as Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl, and we’re thrilled to have David Hayter lend his iconic voice to Snake’s in‑game cues- The team also went a step further with ‘Last Assignment’, a new mission for Dual Front designed as a special nod to long‑time Metal Gear Solid series fans.”
We’re also getting a limited 2-week-long 1v1 mode in the Arcade playlist, on top of three modernized maps, Oregon, Coastline, and Villa.
This will also be the last season of Dual Front, as the developers refocus on the core 5v5 mode.
We also get a partial reveal of what will happen during the year, which you can see summarized below. Year 11 will also come with new player protection initiatives, which you can read on the official blog.

We already know that the remaster of Dokkaebi will turn her into a “high-pressure intel-denial Attacker” with a new weapon. Capypso Casino will be a new map, but it actually pays homage to Rainbow Six Vegas.
The new operator coming in Season 3 will be designed to counter shields.
Below, you can check out the new trailers and the livestream of the reveal event.
If you’re unfamiliar with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it’s currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The same platforms will host Rainbow Six Siege X, but Dual Front won’t be available on old-gen consoles.
It was recently part of the Esports World Cup 2025, where the tournament was won by Team Secret.
Incidentally, Rainbow Six Mobile is launching globally soon, on February 23.
