Giants Software has launched Update 2.1 for Project Motor Racing, introducing several major improvements, rebuilt classes, and more. At the same time, the Free Aussie Pack was released, essentially adding two new vehicles for players for free.
Project Motor Racing Update 2.1 brings a complete overhaul of the GT4 and GT3 classes. The cars have been completely rebuilt with new data from manufacturers and tire simulations to improve handling, tire behavior, and that realistic, authentic feel.
There have also been other improvements to collision behavior and stability, particularly in multiplayer, to make gameplay more consistent. Trueforce is also enabled on all platforms with Update 2.1.
Additionally, Update 2.1 has several online quality-of-life changes. Now, players will be able to join an online session even after a race has started, making it much easier to connect with friends. Additionally, a new Ranked Notification will alert players once they’ve connected to a ranked game, instead of forcing players to stay on the registration screen and do nothing while they wait.
Triple-screen support has also been added in Alpha, which has been highly requested from the community.
Last but not least is the free Aussie Rivals Pack, which adds the 2013 Holden Commodore VF and a completely reworked 2013 Ford Falcon FG. Both of these modern V8 touring cars are great options for aggressive racers.

Straight4 Studios CEO Kevin Boland spoke about the new content:
“Players have been putting in the laps, giving us the feedback, and pushing us to make PMR better. Update 2.1 is the result of that process: a major GT4 and GT3 overhaul, cleaner racing, better online flow, stronger immersion features, and the free Aussie Rivals Pack, delivered as a big thank you to our community that continues to inspire and shape Project Motor Racing.”
Project Motor Racing Update 2.1 and its free Aussie Rivals Pack are available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
