Straight4 Studios has released the PMR Test Centre for Project Motor Racing, the new home for testing, racing, and more.
The PMR Test Centre was originally a space for developers to test things in Project Motor Racing. It’s an area where things like different surface materials, force feedback, and more are on full display, giving developers a chance to see how each car is performing on a technical level.
Now, with multiple test areas and layouts, Straight4 Studios is releasing it as a free space via the ModHub. This lets players test their builds, play around with their cars, and even practice races.
There are six different layouts:
- Racing Layout: a complete circle with the traditional oval-style testing
- Big Loop: traditional oval-style testing but for high speeds
- Small Loop: a shorter version of the Big Loop
- Small Needle Skidpad: designed for drifting, experimenting, and sliding
- Big Needle Route: combines a traditional racing layout with an oval-style banking area
- Playground: an open area where players can drive around the original surface test strips with no penalties
Modders will be able to use the track and its sample files to modify the PMR Test Centre or create their own layouts.
Straight4 Studios is releasing the PMR Test Centre as a thank you to the community. Players can download it here on ModHub.
Project Motor Racing is available now on PC. Players can learn more about the racing simulator on Simulation Daily, including its new Factory Driver Challenge Format and Update 2.0.0.6.
