We also get the confirmation of the platforms, which will be PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The game will include over 70 vehicles from 10 racing classes, and 27 track layouts at launch. The lineup will range from LMDh hypercars to classic racing purebreds, fully licensed by manufacturers including Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Audi.

Among the modes available, we’ll find a Single Player Career Mode, Online Racing with leaderboards, and even Full Race Weekends.

More features listed in the press release are dynamic weather conditions, adaptive racing and drying line, and a 24-hour day/night cycle.

The physics engine has been built from the ground up, running on Giants Software’s in-house engine, which has been powering the Farming Simulator franchise for a long time. It runs at 720Hz, which is certainly impressive.

It also features non-linear throttle control, precise Force Feedback taken directly from the tie rod, and out-of-the-box peripheral optimisation.

The developers also claim that every car’s handling has been tested and approved by “the world’s top racing pros.”

If you want to see what the game looks like, you can check out the reveal trailer below.

The press release included a statement from Giants Software CEO Christian Ammann:

“This is the next gear for GIANTS Software: Moving forward, we will be recognized not only as the creators of Farming Simulator but also as the publisher of Project Motor Racing. Our strong collaboration with Straight4 gives me full confidence that we’ll deliver an exceptional experience for all sim racing enthusiasts!”

We also hear from Straight4 Studios CEO Ian Bell, whom you may know as the founder of Slightly Mad Studios of Project Cars fame.

“This is not about driving. It’s about racing. With our streamlined approach and what we consider to be the most authentic handling model we’ve ever created, Project Motor Racing is both a nod to our genre’s rich legacy and a big step into the next era of simulation.”
