Earlier this month, developer and publisher Siscia Games announced that their highly anticipated simulation title, Pompeii: The Legacy, finally has a release date, set to arrive on Steam Early Access on September 26, 2025. In anticipation of the release, today they announced that the demo has been reopened for download.
The Pompeii: The Legacy demo will only be accessible until Monday, August 4, but will return one final time 10 days before the Early Access release on September 16. Each trial is more polished than the one before it, each introducing new features for players to try out before the game officially hits Steam, including ones like Production Chains.
Production Chains serve to turn raw materials into useful goods, which will help you develop your city, satisfy citizens, and improve overall survival. Each one comes with its own unique rhythm, role, and visual identity, ranging from turning Sand Pits into Glassworks, Iron Mines into Blacksmiths, or Clay Pits into Charcoal Burners into Brickworkers.

These will provide useful materials that will contribute to your society in a number of ways, creating luxury goods or giving you gear to increase your military might in order to keep everyone safe. According to the developers, more information will be released regarding other gameplay elements within the next few weeks.
For those who may not be aware, Pompeii: The Legacy revolves around intricate city-building systems, resource management, and a historical atmosphere, boasting unique city-building mechanics, immersive visuals, and strategic depth in its gameplay. Players are placed in the shoes of the head of a Roman family overseeing Pompeii’s reconstruction over several generations.
Alongside building up Pompeii, there are also military and RTS elements that come into play, as you must defend the land you’ve built against those that wish to plunder its riches. For more information on this and other upcoming city builders, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
