Originally, Onimusha: Way of the Sword was set to release on September 25, 2026. Now, it’s coming on September 4, 2026, so players will have the game three weeks earlier than expected.

Pre-orders for Onimusha: Way of the Sword are open now. Players can choose between the Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe Editions:

  • Standard Edition: base game
  • Deluxe Edition: base game and Deluxe Kit (which includes an outfit for Musashi, four weapon skins for Musashi’s sword, three charms, and an Oni Gauntlet skin)
  • Premium Deluxe Edition: base game, Deluxe Kit, and Premium Kit (which includes three outfits for Oni Lady, three outfits for Okuni, three skins of Musashi’s haori, and an in-game mini digital soundtrack)

Additionally, players who purchase the game before September 24, 2026, will receive an Early Adopter bonus. Players who get the Standard Edition will get two charms, while those who get the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe Editions will get four charms.

Players can also earn another charm by checking out a demo of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Demos are available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it gives players a chance to check out the combat and explore the world prior to September 4, 2026.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
