What links the two add-ons is that the Wolf Pitts is the aerobatic ride flown by Paul Bennet of Paul Bennet Airshows, based at Maitland Airport, where you can find the dedicated hangar.

The Wolf Pitts Pro can be purchased at Orbx Direct for $18.50 including the following features:

Visual Model:

  • The Wolf Pitts Pro has been recreated through reference imagery collected in conjunction with Paul Bennet.
  • Custom modeled aircraft with details from Paul Bennet’s cockpit including flight sequence notes.
  • Development of Paul’s engine monitoring instrument.
  • Authentic Paul Bennet Airshow livery.

Flight Model:

  • Special emphasis was placed on achieving precise flight characteristics for the Wolf Pitts aircraft. Using Paul Bennett’s expertise, the flight model has seen extensive testing.
  • Snap rolls and knife-edge maneuvers are possible with this flight model
  • Stall characteristics match reality.
  • Roll rate is accurate to that of the real aircraft.
  • Extensive flight model scenario testing
  • Developed in conjunction with Paul to best represent the aircraft’s aerobatic abilities within the simulator

Sounds:

  • The Wolf Pitts Pro features first-hand audio recordings from Paul Bennet’s genuine Wolf Pitts Pro. Listen to the accurate engine, ground roll, and ambiance sounds as you navigate through aerobatic maneuvers.
  • Dynamic engine, wind, and ground roll sounds.
  • Engine sounds differ depending on RPM, speed, and varying angles around the aircraft.
  • Dynamic wind sounds dependent on airspeed.
  • Sounds recorded from genuine Wolf Pitts Pro.

Incidentally, the aircraft will be made compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The developer expects a smooth transition, but cautions that the update may take some time.

If you’re interested in Maitland Airport, it’s also available at Orbx Direct for $9.90 with the following features:

  • Full 3d custom modeled airport to the highest quality and accuracy
  • Paul Bennet’s hangar was meticulously modeled and textured to reflect every real-world element and detail
  • Highly detailed ground markings, including taxiways, roads, and car parks.
  • Custom animated hangars that open and close based on proximity
  • Improved terraforming and ground textures for further real-world accuracy.
  • Additional parking bays throughout the airport
  • Custom approach, runway, and apron lighting
  • Improved vegetation and grass foliage
  • Optimized for increased performance

If you’d like to purchase both, a bundle is also available, priced at $21.30.
