The Career Mode is one of the most interesting new aspects of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but you may be asking yourself what it looks like.

During a preview event in Arizona hosted by Microsoft, Simulation Daily was able to record the full first mission of the career mode, which provides a glimpse of what you can expect.

Quite interestingly, I picked a small airport to try and see if I could trip the simulator up, but I was surprised to see signage in Japanese, an instructor of the appropriate ethnicity, and even a realistic Japanese registration on the aircraft.

Gotta give credit where credit is due for the attention to detail, especially considering that you can start at any airport in the world.

To see what I mean, you can check out the video below from our YouTube channel. If you enjoy it, please like and subscribe. That always helps. If you can leave a comment, that’d be very welcome as well.

Of course, you should stay tuned here on Simulation Daily, because there is going to be a lot more Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coverage on the site over the next few days, including part 3 of our interview series, more footage of other features of the simulator, and more.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released for PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2024. You can find all the editions and the full list of aircraft they come with in our dedicated article.

If you’d like to read more, you can enjoy our hands-on preview with plenty of interesting details about the simulator for your perusal, our A-10 flight through the Grand Canyon, and our first look at the extensive pilot customization.

We also have an interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann and Asobo CEO Sebastian Wloch, and another with Asobo CCO David Dedeine.

Full disclosure: Simulation Daily was invited to a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 preview event in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona. Microsoft provided travel and accommodation.
