The video provides insight on the aircraft flight management system and the CNI-MU (which stands for Communication, Navigation, Identification-Management Unit), which is basically the part of the avionics similar to an Airbus A320’s MCDU or Boeing 737’s CDU.

Of course, it’s a very important part of the in-depth simulation of an aircraft with advanced navigation capabilities, and today we take a look at the work that has gone into reproducing it and its functionality.

You can watch it below.

During a previous livestream, we learned that the developer aims to release this complex military cargo aircraft for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, albeit a release date has not been announced (the simulator comes for PC and Xbox Series X on November 19, 2024. We also don’t yet know if the C-130 will work on Xbox).

The good folks at Blackbird Simulations have been working on it for a long time, and the result is certainly very visible in today’s video, which also provides a glimpse at the rest of the flight deck.

If you’d like to get into flight simulation in time for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but you’d like some initial guidance, you can read our introductory guide, alongside the second episode focusing on installing add-ons, and another showcasing the basic instruments.
