Marvel Rivlas Zombies lets players team up using their favorite characters to battle hordes of zombies and face bosses like Zombie Namor and Queen of the Dead, with each character featuring unique, tailored abilities. Heroes such as Thor, Blade, Magik, and Jeff the Baby Land Shark will even get abilities that are ripped straight from the Marvel Zombies Disney+ show.

You can get a good look at what those abilities will look like and some teases at new upcoming skins coming alongside the event right down below.

Marvel Rivals is a hero shooter video game developed and published by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, origianlly relaseing for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X}S on December 6, 2024. Thanks to its deep lineup of 43 Marvel Comics characters, plenty of unique skins, six game modes, 13 maps, and cross-play support, the free-to-play title quickly gained popularity upon its release.

As of February 2025, it has reached over 40 million players, with NetEase providing constant updates, just like Marvel Zombies, through seasonal content patches. Each season lasts about three months long, and split into two halves, releasing new content with each half season, including at least one new hero.

Since Season 3, the developers have shortened the windowed to last two months, but still split into two halves, effectively introducing a new hero on a monthly basis.
