Marvel Rivals, the upcoming Marvel Universe PvP shooter, has officially announced its next Super Hero, and it’s none other than the Mutant Yokai Slayer Psylocke.
Psylocke is a telepathic mutant from the X-Men. Her abilities in Marvel Rivals lets her dash and turn invisible before striking enemies. Her ultimate ability combines everything into one, and she’ll dash with her wings out while taking down enemies in her way.
She’ll also have access to several weapons, including crossbows and shurikens, alongside her psychic energy.
There are several Psylocke’s in the Marvel Universe, and Sai might not be recognizable to some. This particular Psylocke is based on Peach Momoko’s designs for the character in both Demon Days and Marvel Snap.
She’s a wandering samurai in feudal Japan focused on taking down monsters and demons. She travels with Logan, a wolf companion (and totally not a reference to the other highly popular wolfman in the X-Men).
However, the Timestream Entanglement pulls her from her reality, and the Collector captures her. After getting free, she plans to find and work with familiar heroes, stopping the conflict arisen from the Timestream Entanglement, and get home.
She’ll join the ranks of Super Heroes that include Jeff the Land Shark and Thor, who are fighting against Doctor Doom. Ironically, Doctor Doom was also just brought to Fortnite’s season last month.
