With ChinaJoy in full swing in Shanghai, a new look at Ultizero Games’ Lost Soul Aside was almost inevitable, and indeed it was delivered.
First of all, a new trailer has been released showing how the hero can use different weapon types, offering diverse attack patterns.
He can use a sword, a much heavier greatsword, a poleblade, and a mighty scythe. Even more importantly, he can freely switch between them mid-combo, making the combat system even more spectacular and stylish.
You can watch it below.
We also get a new gameplay demo, recorded by YouTube user GamersPrey, showing a rather spectacular boss battle.
If you’re unfamiliar with Lost Soul Aside, it’s an action RPG originally started by Yang Bing as a solo project inspired by Final Fantasy XV and Devil May Cry. When it was first showcased in 2016, it immediately received a lot of attention due to its refined visuals and impressive action.
It was then showcased by Sony as part of the first wave of the China Hero Project, which aims to promote games made by Chinese studios on the worldwide stage. In the meanwhile, its creator founded the studio Ultizero Games to develop Lost Soul Aside into a full-fledged game.
Several years have passed since the original reveal, and the game has been shown as multiple events, showing gradual but consistent improvement over its already impressive beginnings.
Lost Soul Aside will release in just a few weeks, on August  29, 2024, for PS5 and PC, following a small delay from May.
If you’f like to see more, you can check out the previous trailer, and a showcase of PC gameplay with DLSS 4 and Ray Tracing.
