Dragami Games announced that the remaster of the popular action game Lollipop Chainsaw, titled Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, has passed a sales milestone.
The game has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide, which is certainly flattering for a game by a small studio.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was released back in September for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, while a last-gen version for PS4 and Xbox One followed in December.
The game was initially intended to be a full remake but then plans changed to make it a remaster of the original Lollipop Chainsaw released in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Its production was led by Yoshimi Yasuda, executive producer of the original game and CEO of Dragami Games. If you’re unfamiliar with the studio, it spun off in 2022 from Kadokawa Games, retaining most of the IP and staff of the original developer, including Yasuda-san himself.
Among its IP we find the mecha strategy game Relayer, the dungeon RPG series Demon Gaze, the love sim LoveR, the mystery visual novel franchise including Root Letter and Root Film, and more.
At the moment, the studio is working on updating Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, including a Nightmare Mode and the addition of new costumes, like the Goth Outfit that will be released in February.
At the moment, we don’t yet know what they’ll work on next.
