Today, Double Dagger Studio announced that their game Little Kitty, Big City will be coming to Android and iOS devices later this year. It will be available to download for free and will include the first portion of the game with an option to purchase the full game.
In Little Kitty, Big City, players control a house cat who must find its way back home. As the title suggests, Kitty navigates an open-world city, making friends with local animals and completing quests along the way. It’s the true cat experience: Kitty can catch birds, jump into boxes, steal items from humans, and even wear adorable hats. There is also an option to customize the cat to look however the player wants, if the default black cat isn’t their preference.
The free mobile version of Little Kitty, Big City will allow players to collect and turn in 25 Shinies, a currency used in the game to make progress, to Crow. Once that milestone has been reached, players will be prompted to buy the full game. Double Dagger Studio promises that it’s only a single in-app purchase with no subscriptions or additional microtransactions, and all progress carries over.
A feature unique to the full version of the mobile experience is an AR camera mode that lets players take pictures of Kitty in their real-life environment. This will allow players to take photos of Kitty with their real-world pets, in their house, or around their own city.
Take a look at the mobile announcement trailer below to see what the game looks like, as well as how the AR camera mode works.
Little Kitty, Big City is already available to buy and play on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
There is no exact release date for the mobile release on Android or iOS just yet, but players can pre-register on each respective app store now if they want to get ahead.
