Cat Me If You Can, an upcoming time-traveling photography puzzle game, just got a brand new trailer and release date announcement. The game will release for PC via Steam on September 8, 2026. Console players will have to wait a little bit longer; the game will come to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S later in the year in Q4.

The trailer showcases some of the gameplay you can expect in Cat Me If You Can. Players will be able to explore beautiful black-and-white areas, solving puzzles and photographing hidden cats to bring color back to the world. Locations to explore include Ancient Egypt, modern Japan, majestic castles, and more. There are over 725 cats to find and photograph and more than 50 quests to solve along the way. And of course, you can pet the cats as well.

The game, developed by Cosmic Stag Games, was inspired by black-and-white comic and manga art. Each of the landscapes has surprises to uncover, and the hundreds of unique cats have their own personality and quirks. Puzzles range from environmental clues to tougher riddles with rewards for approaching them creatively. That being said, Cat Me If You Can is designed as a cozy and relaxing experience for players to unwind with.

Even though you have to wait until September to play the full game, you can download a demo of Cat Me If You Can on Steam now to get a feel for it before its official release.
