Of course, Matthew Mercer returns in the role of the adorably crazy Goro Majima, but there are quite a few new voices joining the cast.

You can find a full list of the actors revealed today below.

  • Goro Majima – Matthew Mercer
  • Raymond Law – Samoa Joe
  • Noah Rich – Maya Tuttle
  • Jason Rich – Jeremy Brandt
  • Masaru Fujita – Brent Mukai
  • Taiga Saejima – James Kirkland
  • Queen Michele – Debra Wilson

The reveal was accompanied by a trailer showing the actors in action, allowing us to get a first taste of their performance.

If you’re not familiar with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, it’s a spin-off of the Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series similar to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, but even if it appears to lean a lot more into the wacky side of the series.

While it features a similar Hawaiian setting as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it completely changes tone as it focuses on Goro Majima and his adventures as a pirate.

Interestingly, it features naval combat and exploration, which is a brand-new feature for the franchise. Of course, having a beloved character like Goro Majima as the protagonist is going to be a treat for many fans of the franchise.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releases on February 21, 2025, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

If you’d like to see more about the game, you can enjoy the latest screenshots and details, the original reveal from just before Tokyo Games Show, a trailer about naval battles, one about combat, and one about side activities, and a large gameplay reveal.
