Last week, Studio 397 released the most recent major update for its immersive sportscar racing simulator, Le Mans Ultimate. Today, the first patch for update 3 dropped, implementing numerous quality-of-life touch-ups and improvements.
The online portion of the game got a significant amount of tuning, solving numerous crash issues when joining servers, fixing daily race info, and amending minimum drive time penalties that had been applied from co-op practice sessions. Cars like the BMW M4 LMGT3 also got some tune-ups, with this specific vehicle no longer having to worry about LOD disappearing or lack of detail.
You can check out the full list of changes coming alongside the Le Mans Ultimate update 3, patch 1, on the official Steam post.
Le Mans Ultimate was released into Steam early access earlier this year on February 20, 2024. The title is all about bringing the exciting action of the real-world FIA World Endurance Championship series into a video game format, letting players compete using the three distinct car classes and numerous tracks home to the series in both single-player and online.
So far, fans have responded positively to the beta version of the release, praising its physics model and driving experience while also citing that numerous bugs still need to be ironed out before the game is fully released.
Le Mans Ultimate is currently available on Steam in early access for a starting price of $37.99. While some of its DLC and updates are free, there are also microtransactions and packs that can be purchased to unlock specific premium content.
