Today, Frontier Developments officially released its next paid dino-simulator DLC, Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth, alongside update 1.3, which is free, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This major content drop combo brings a boat-load of movie-inspired features, new hybrid and prehistoric species, and massive overhauls to park management and enclosure design. Inspired by the events of Jurassic World Rebirth, Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth adds four movie-themed species, where you can experience a full narrative campaign and enhance your locations with a range of detailed scenery pieces.
The campaign is set on Île Saint-Hubert, allowing you to manage three separate top-secret locations: the Main Facility, Ancient Valley, and Riverside Lab. Alongside this, four new dinosaurs are being introduced:
- Distortus rex (D. Rex): A terrifying mutated hybrid.
- Mutadon: A volatile hybrid prone to testing containment limits.
- Titanosaurus: A towering, massive sauropod.
- Aquilops: A smaller, inquisitive ceratopsian.
Science features are expanding considerably with the DLC, adding Geothermal Power so you can carefully manage a vast network of underground pipes to ensure a steady distribution of power across your facility. Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion also introduces new experimental traits to enhance your prehistoric species and push the boundaries of scientific research, and a new Open Air Aviary enclosure.
The Open Air Aviary features raised flying heights, no visual obstructions, and expanded terrain-editing heights. Speaking of new architecture, the Île Saint-Hubert adds many new facility blueprints, letting you construct geothermal piping, structural gantries, and iconic buildings inspired by the movie. There are plenty of cosmetic changes to look forward to as well.
- Tyrannosaurus rex – 1 new model, 1 Jurassic World Rebirth movie skin, 12 skin colours, 6 patterns
- Spinosaurus – 1 new model, 3 Jurassic World Rebirth movie skins, 12 skin colours, 6 patterns

Jurassic World Evolution 3 update 1.3 will feature plenty of goodies, including the returning Cearadactylus, changes to Aviaries, and species-specific behaviors. For example, Pterosaurs can now dynamically navigate under, through, and around scenery, and Adult Tyrannosaurus rexes can now actively swim in deep bodies of water inside their enclosures
Players can also place custom Perch Points anywhere on rocks or buildings, and Guest boats can now sail directly through Aviaries safely. To help the staff feel a little safer while maintaining the park, Rangers can now throw flares from vehicles to distract or redirect aggressive dinosaurs.
Last but not least, land hatcheries now feature a drone system, and a new scanner tool lets you generate extra cash and genome data, and a number of existing grid-based scenery walls have had non-grid versions added, alongside some new scenery pieces:
