Today, HoYoverse fully revealed version 3.5 of its popular free-to-play turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail.
The update is ominously titled “before their deaths” and will go live on all platforms on August 13.
Of course, this means that you still have a few days to enjoy the tail of Version 3.4.
The update’s gachas include two new characters. The first is Hysilens, commander of the holy city’s knights and a 5-star Physical-Type character following the Path of Nihility.
The second is a 5-star Wind-Type character following the Path of Harmony, Imperator Cerydra. Kafka and Silver Wolf will also return to complete the gacha lineup for the first and second cycle of the patch.
We’ll also get a new map portraying Styxia, the City of Infinite Revelry, as new story content will carry the players to face off against the dual-form enemy Lygus.
Of course, there will also be the usual plethora of special events to enjoy. The “Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant” will prompt you to manage a restaurant in Aedes Elysiae together with the Chrysos Heirs.
In “Old Brews & New Friends,” you’ll be a guest drinksmith at the Dreamjolt Hostelry, crafting drinks and reuniting with old friends.
Interestingly, the new version will also bring a voice toggle for collaboration characters, letting you switch interaction, combat, and idle voice lines between the in-game dub and the original licensed voice actors.
