The truth is out there, Super Earthers, and Helldivers 2 is ready to bring it to you via the Truth Enforcer Warbond. Arrowhead Game Studios unveiled this exciting new update to their hit third-person shooter via a trailer and blog post that breaks down what fans can expect when it releases next week, October 31, 2024, for PC and PS5.
Approved by the Ministry of Truth themselves, Helldiver 2 players will soon have access to a slew of new features, including three brand-new weapons.
- PLAS-15 Loyalist plasma pistol: An adjustable pistol that lets you switch between semi-auto or charge shot.
- SG-20 Halt: A pump-action shotgun that can switch between stun rounds and armor-penetrating flechette rounds.
- SMG-32 Reprimand: A Heavy SMG that features a cool slap reload.
Alongside an improved arsenal, the Truth Enforcer Warbond update also boasts some new cosmetics. This includes full armor sets and new patterns for everything from capes to exosuits to hellpods. See the full list below:
- Patterns: Inconspicuous Black Pattern (Shuttle, Hellpod, and Exosuit).
- Dead Sprint (Utility): booster that drains your health when your stamina is at zero.
- Emotes: At Ease pose.
- Player Titles: Free of Thought title.
- Capes: Proof of Fautless Virtue & Pride of the Whistleblower.
- Player Banners: Proof of Fautless Virtue & Pride of the Whistleblower.
- Armor Sets: UF-50 Blood Hound (Red) & UF-16 Inspector (White).
To access Helldiver 2’s Truth Enforcer Warbond when it launches on Halloween, players will need access to the base game, paid purchase of Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.
Last month, Helldivers 2 also received a significant update: patch 1.001.100 completely reworked enemies, damage mechanics, stratagem balancing, and much more. A few months before that, the Freedom’s Flame Warbond lit a flame under players, introducing new fire-based weapons, armor, and cosmetic items like skins, emotes, and capes.
Since its release back in February 2024, Arrowhead Game Studios has been considerably dedicated to updating the title, leading to it becoming the fastest-selling PlayStation game of all time, with over 12 million sold in 12 weeks of its release, as well as Sony’s most successful Windows title.
