It mixes wildlife photography and management simulation as you build up a wildlife reserve in India, balancing the needs of ecotourism with conservation and the health of the ecosystem.

You can populate your reserve with many different animals includinh tigers, elephants, leopards, rhinos, bears, and dozens more, and find legendary animals like the one-eyed leopard Scar, the elephant grandmother Matrriarch, and the white tiger Ghost.

You can follow your animals through their whole life cycle, from birth, coming of age, and death. You can rewild your reserve by introducing new species, affecting its ecology, and striving to find a balance between predator and prey.

Wildlife photography isn’t just a photo mode, but it’s integrated into gameplay mechanics. Wildlife photo opportunity moments spawn dynamically based on ecosystem health, animal traits, and random events.

Your photos are scored on species rarity, action, lighting, composition, and proximity risk. If you scored over 85, the photo will go viral, bringing spikes in visitors and revenue multipliers that will help your business thrive.

You can design the safari routes yourself, trying to please eight different types of visitors, while also dealing with the whims of nature, like monsoon migrations, mating seasons, flash floods, and disease outbreaks. Of course, humans themselves can be a threat, as poachers will test the preparedness of your rangers.

You can check out the first trailer below. At the moment, The Great Indian Safari doesn’t have a release date, but we know it’ll come to PC via Steam, where it can already be wishlisted
