The grand finals of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas have concluded, and Cygames had news to share.
We get the release date of the new character Wilnas, and he’s coming super-soon, on August 5.
Yep, that’s not all. First of all, we get to see that Meg will come alongside Mari, paying homage to their common SSR in the mobile game. We also learn that they will release in October, and we get to take the first look and what they’ll look like in an animated sequence at the end of the trailer.
Wilnas is the third fighter of the character pass, while Meg and Mari will jointly take the fourth slot. Ilsa will follow in early 2026. We already got Sandalphon and Galleon.
His release will be accompanied by the launch of version 2.20, which will include three EX characters (Gran, Djeeta, and Narmaya) with a moveset variation, and more.
We also get to take a good look at his gameplay, which you can enjoy in the trailer below.
Speaking of EVO 2025, the tournament was won by Kojicoco, who managed to defeat Zane in the Grand Finals after conquering a reset due to coming from the Losers Finals.
Tororo ranked third, while Fukunaga earned fourth place.
You can check out the competition in the recording of the livestream on demand below.
