The grand final for the Nations Cup of the GT World Series 2024, the premier esports competition for Gran Turismo 7, has ended with the victory of Takuma Miyazono.
This is the second Nations Cup win for the Japanese driver, who also won a Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup and was on the winning team for two Manufacturers Cups. He’s the driver with the most cumulative wins in the history of the competition.
Miyazono-san managed to seal his victory at the final lap, following a race that showcased both great strategy and racecraft.
This was the second time the national Anthem of Japan was played over the podium, following yesterday’s win of Team Lexus at the Manufacturers Cup.
Second place was taken by France’s Kylian Drumont with Spain’s Jose Serrano coming third. Drumont also placed second in the final race.
You can watch the final race on the competition on-demand in the recording.
Below you can check out the results of the final race and the overall point rankings.
Interestingly (and as expected), we got some news about the game itself. The upcoming Gran Turismo F3500-A will be included in Gran Turismo 7, inspired by F1 cars. You can see it in action in the recording of the competition.
Incidentally, if you want to try the game for yourself, there has never been a better time, as a brand-new and rather extensive demo titled My First Gran Turismo has just been released yesterday.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4.
