Microsoft released the first episode of the new series of videos designed to hype the Japanese setting of the open-world driving game Forza Horizon 6.
The series, which was teased yesterday, is titled “The Art of Driving” and is hosted by renowned car photographer Larry Chen.
This specific video is basically a driving documentary focusing on the Northern region of Tohoku, explored with a rather appropriate Toyota Land Cruiser.
It does include some gameplay segments, but it’s mostly a real-world documentary showing off the beauty of Tohoku, its towns, and its natural landscapes.
Considering that fans of the Forza franchise have been clamoring for a game set in Japan for the longest time, it certainly isn’t surprising that Microsoft is showing it off.
You can watch it below.
Forza Horizon 6 will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 19, 2026. A PS5 version has also been announced, but it’ll come at a later time within 2026. A precise release date for the PS5 version has not been announced.
The game that was officially revealed back in September to celebrate Tokyo Game Show 2025 will finally bring the franchise to Japan, a setting that has been requested by fans pretty much since the first Forza Horizon showcased the potential of open-world racing games.
