While the Tesla Cybertruck is still too exclusive to own for the average person, Fortnite players can look forward to getting one in the metaverse. Longtime Fortnite players thought riding in shopping carts was cool – the Cybertruck is an entirely new experience.
Fortnite dropped a trailer for the upcoming vehicle today, showcasing its power. In it, the Cybertruck is towing a bus, a tank, a regular truck, and Fish Thicc. While the Cypertruck can tow 11,000 pounds, all of it proves to be too much for the vehicle (which is driven by Fishstick, of course).
The chain snaps, and Fishstick zooms off, presumably at the 2.6-second 0 to 60mph speed the Cybertruck advertises.
The car skin will be released on July 23, 2024, with v30.30. Considering the current Fortnite season, Wrecked, features a wasteland aesthetic, the Cybertruck fits right in with its almost dystopian design. In fact, promo images for the Cybertruck include some on sandy terrain that perfectly matches Wrecked’s look.
Fortnite hasn’t released a price for the skin yet, but it will more than likely be between 1,500 and 3,500 V-Bucks. While that’s a pretty hefty price for a battle royale cosmetic, that’s nothing compared to the $80,000+ price of an actual Cybertruck.
Ironically, the Cybertruck itself has been plagued with issues and undergone several widespread recalls. Hopefully, these problems won’t make their way to Fortnite, so players can live out their automotive dreams.
For players who enjoy the Cybertruck’s aesthetic, Hoyo game Zenless Zone Zero is another free-to-play experience. It recently revealed a new character to add to the gacha lineup that fans can get excited for.
