The finals of the StarCraft 2 tournament at the Esports World Cup 2025 have concluded, and Serral has asserted his domination once again.
The unstoppable champion from Finland representing Basilisk, real name Joona Sotala, managed to win his third world championship title, showing once again his mettle that has been a constant in StarCraft 2 since he single-handedly broke the Korean domination a few years ago.
In the final, he indeed defeated a star player from Korea, Classic, who tried his best and did manage to score some points, but ultimately couldn’t stop the Zerg onslaught. It ended 5-2.
Cure took the 3rd place by beating Solar 4-0 in the decider match.
Serral’s victory also puts Basilisk on the leaderboard of the Club Championship Ranking in 8th place with 1,000 points.
He brings home a $200,000 prize pool, while Classic won $100,000 and Cure won $40,000.
