Today, the developers of Elite Dangerous provided the first look at the Nomad, the next new shop coming to the space simulator.
The vessel is called the Nomad, and it’s designed to be deployed from larger ships, so players can leave their mothership in orbit and then drop down to a planet’s surface with the Nomad.
Of course, this is not mandatory, but it offers an alternate way to explore.
It comes with landing skids to land on uneven terrain and pivoting engines for VTOL operations.
It’ll be released in ARX Early Access on June 30, which incidentally, is also the same date on which Elite Dangerous will receive the highly anticipated Operations Update. If you’re not familiar with the term, Operations will be multi-stage PvE scenarios designed to be tackled by multiple players.
You can check out the first images below and see if the Nomad tempts you with its unique operative perks for explorers.

If you’re unfamiliar with Elite Dangerous, it’s a space simulator currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but the console versions are limited and aren’t getting recent expansions and updates.

Recently, the game received another rather unique ship, although completely different from the Nomad. You can check out the previous article to take a look at the Lynx Highliner vessel, which came with passenger missions.
