Today, the developers of Elite Dangerous at Frontier released a new update for the game with a brand-new ship front and center.
The new ship is the Gutamaya Corsair, which can be purchased on the store in both Stellar (33,000 Arx) and Standard (16,520 Arx) versions, on top of a ship kit and a bunch of skins with various colors.
If you want to see it in action and hear more about it from the developers, you can check out a livestream from a few days ago. Among the commentary, you can find out all the specs the Corsair comes with.
We also get a brand-new trailer, and you can watch it below and see if it tempts you to get your very own Corsair.
The update that comes with the Corsair also adds in-world holo screens ads (because, of course, it does) for the ship on top of a ton of bug fixes.
The patch also includes a number of fixes for the localizations in Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and more.
Lastly, we also get a few cosmetic fixes. You can read the full patch notes on Steam.
Elite Dangerous is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but the console versions are limited and aren’t getting recent expansions and updates, like the recent Trailblazers update.
The game was originally funded via a successful Kickstarter campaign all the way back in 2012 and has been in operation since 2014. In fact, it has recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
