Indie studio Ludogram, known for Monsters Are Coming and Worlds of Aria, has officially announced Heroes Never Die, a fast-paced, single-player survivor-like that combines intense monster battles with real-time strategy, army management, and fantasy hero progression, set to launch on PC in 2027

In Heroes Never Die, players take control of powerful fantasy heroes and command an evolving army against relentless hordes of monsters and rival heroes. The game combines the accessible action of the survivor-like genre with deeper tactical decisions, challenging players to recruit troops, gather resources, and upgrade their town while fighting increasingly dangerous enemies.

Players can choose from 20 unique heroes, each with their own skills and abilities. As they progress through each run, they can recruit new units, collect resources, and strengthen their town to expand their military capabilities. Every decision influences how their army develops and how effectively they can respond to the threats ahead.

Resource management and strategic planning are central to the experience. Players must decide how to invest their resources, develop their hero builds, and assemble armies that suit their preferred playstyle. With four factions, more than 60 different units, and numerous hero combinations to explore, Heroes Never Die aims to offer substantial replayability and ensure that no two runs feel exactly alike.

By combining real-time army control, town development, and fast-paced survivor action, Ludogram hopes to deliver a fresh take on the genre. The game encourages players to think tactically while staying engaged in constant action as they battle monster hordes and compete against other heroes.

“We’re delighted to finally announce Heroes Never Die, a project we’ve been working on in the shadows for a couple of years,” said Edouard Gaudel, Ludogram’s Creative Director. “We cannot wait to see our first players fighting hordes of monsters and evolving their armies while meeting our heroes. Don’t forget to join our upcoming Playtest!”

Heroes Never Die is scheduled to release on PC in 2027, with a private playtest planned ahead of release. Players who want to experience the game before launch can sign up for the upcoming private playtest on Steam.

Ludogram is an independent game development studio focused on creating distinctive worlds and memorable player experiences. The studio previously released Worlds of Aria, a playful multiplayer RPG, and Monsters Are Coming, a fast-paced action roguelite in which players defend a moving city against relentless hordes of monsters.
