Today, EA Sports unveiled the first look at the expansion for their rally car racing series, EA Sports WRC. The update is set to arrive on October 24, 2024, and will be an add-on to the additional game, which is a change of pace from their usual release schedule for sports titles.

The Season Expansion will consist of three separate packs that can be bought together or separately. Digital players will also have access to the new expansion via a season pass, and the game will officially be renamed EA Sports WRC 24.

According to EA, you can drive both the Tet Rally Latvia and the Orlen 80th Rally Poland with more than 50 new liveries (from the current season) and compete against 52 official crews. The following cars are being added in October as well:

  • Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo JWRC
  • Ford Puma Rally1 HYBRID WRC (2024)
  • Hyundai i20 N Rally1 HYBRID WRC (2024)
  • Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID WRC (2024)
  • Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 WRC2

The first of two themed Content Packs will be arriving in Winter 2024/25, while the Hard Chargers-themed content pack is slated to arrive in Spring 2025. You can check out everything that will be included, as well as a helpful FAQ regarding how this affects the base game, on the blog post listed here.

EA Sports WRC was originally released on October 31, 2023, receiving favorable reviews and praise from critics and fans for its realistic handling and customization aspects regarding stage and car creation. While it is undergoing a name change, the game is still available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
