Today, Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games gave racing fans the first official look at their upcoming racing simulation series, Assetto Corsa Evo.
The six-minute video below shows off some of the early gameplay that players can expect from Assetto Corsa Evo, including the driving academy, practice sessions, and quick races. The new DirectX 12 graphics engine was also on full display, which has been designed specifically with racing applications in mind, featuring a fully dynamic weather system that you’ll be able to both see and feel while driving.
The open-world portion of the game was also highlighted, as the curves and locals surrounding the legendary Nürburgring complex were on full display. This part of the map is set to come in stages during Summer 2025, with continuous updates coming throughout early access so that the developers can implement improvements based on user feedback.
Since it is still in alpha, the footage isn’t exactly what you’ll see in the final product when it is released on Steam on January 16, 2025, but it looks pretty close to perfect so far.
The Assetto Corsa – which is Italian for Race Setup – series originally launched back in 2013 with the goal in mind of creating a realistic driving experience for racing fans. A sequel, Assetto Corsa Competizione, was released in May 2019, with both titles receiving praise as some of the best simulation racing titles ever created.
Assetto Corsa Evo will be the third title in the series when it is released into Steam early access next month. For more information, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
