This specific Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero character trailer highlights Dragon Ball characters that were in the Saiyan and Namek Sagas. The 15 characters in the trailer, in order, are:

  • Saibaman
  • Chiaotzu
  • Cui
  • Dodoria
  • Zarbon
  • Super Zarbon
  • Nail
  • Frieza (Z), 1st Form
  • Frieza (Z), 2nd Form
  • Frieza (Z), 3rd Form
  • Frieza (Z), 4th Form
  • Frieza (Z), Full Power
  • Guldo
  • Recoome
  • Captain Ginyu

This makes 115 known characters for the action battle game, which is a continuation of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. It’s been 15 years since the last Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, as the game’s official site points out. The return of the beloved series will be the biggest yet.

As Bandai Namco reveals more characters, a massive hexagon slowly fills. Even with 115 known, there are still 49 unknown characters. This brings the roster to a whooping 164 characters.

This means that the game will have the largest roster of any fighting game on the market. For reference, it will have nearly three times the amount of characters that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be released on October 11, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Excited players can pre-order the game now to get access to the game a few days early.

Fans can view the characters in action below in the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero character trailer below.
