Bioware has teamed up with the team over at NVIDIA today to give Dragon Age: The Veilguard fans a sneak peek at the power their graphics and AI is set to lend to the PC version of the fourth installment in the beloved action-RPG franchise. In the announcement video, we see the stunning difference between what it looks like when the game isn’t using the NVIDIA DLSS 3 and the quality it runs when the GEForce RTX system is running for PC.

Some of those comparisons make Dragon Age: The Veilguard look like two completely different games when run at different frames per second using DLSS 3 while RTX is on. The market scene, in general, shows just how much more animated and alive even still shots are when running at 60 fps versus 139.

Action sequences in Dragon Age: The Veilguard also look straight out of a movie and are smooth as butter, even at upwards of 180 fps. You can see the full trailer for yourself below at the bottom of the page.

The game is set to pick up shortly after the events of Dragon Age Inquisition, placing players in the shoes of a protagonist named Rook. Players can customize Rook’s race, gender, class, first name, and voice using various details. It will be the first title in the series where only the main character can be controlled by users, with AI being responsible for party member’s actions.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available today for preorder at $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on Xbox Series X and PS5.
