Yet, the German company has found itself in a spot of trouble as of late. PC hardware manufacturer Corsair announced the intention to purchase the brand in May, and today we get the confirmation.

According to the press release, Corsair has signed a definitive agreement with Fanatec owner Endor AG to acquire the Fanatec product line and the transaction is expected to close soon. The brand’s headquarters will stay in Landshut, and Endor employees who worked on Fanatec will switch to the new parent company.

Interestingly, we hear that Corsair intends to make significant investments in Fanatec and its products, including increasing their availability worldwide via its own commercial channels.

On top of that, support will be taken over by Corsair, so existing Fanatec customers will be able to take advantage of that as well.

The immediate goal during the transition is to ensure timely delivery of all orders and make sure that customer support continues smoothly.

The press release included a comment by Corsair CEO Andy Paul, who expressed admiration for the brand and reiterated the commitment to further develop and expand Fanatec’s product lines.

“We have long admired the Fanatec brand and are excited to bring these incredible products to an even wider audience. We are fully committed to further develop and expand Fanatec’s product lines, improving customer service, and embracing the needs of the Sim Racing community.

Racing enthusiasts can look forward to an even more intense and realistic Sim Racing experience.”

We also hear from Endor AG CEO Andres Ruff:

“Corsair shares Fanatec’s passion for innovation, quality, and continuous development. Corsair will open up new opportunities for Fanatec to further extend its portfolio and work even more closely with the growing Sim Racing community.”
