Indie developer The Farm 51 has just announced its Kickstarter for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, a sequel to their hit 2021 survival horror shooter Chernobylite, is officially live.
In Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, players will be able to create their very own character in which to explore the zone, customizing everything from appearance to attributes and skills. Combat diversification is also a key part of gameplay, as you can emphasize melee builds, explore the large arsenal of firearms and augmentations, or sneak around using stealth.
Two important elements of the original are also returning in the sequel: base development and team building. Explore the zone and gather resources so that you can not only craft valuable weapons and upgrades but so you can build a base of operations to protect you against other factions that make up the area.
Once you make your home, assemble a team of colorful characters that’ll help you learn new skills that only they can teach you. NPCs aren’t the only friends you can make in Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, as the game lets you experience online cooperative missions in the single-player campaign.
Despite just launching, the project has already raised half of its funding from just 655 backers, currently sitting at $60,170 pledged of the $97,873 goal.
