Awesome Games Done Quick 2025, an annual speedrunning fundraising event, starts this weekend, January 5, and lasts until January 15. The event is in support of Prevent Cancer Foundation, and it’ll be held in person and live on Twitch.
The event is put on by Games Done Quick, an organization that hosts various charity speedrunning events. In the past, they’ve partnered with groups like AbleGamers, Organization for Autism Research, and Doctors Without Borders. Since 2010, Games Done Quick has raised over $51.8 million for charity.
Awesome Games Done Quick has specifically partnered with Prevent Cancer Research in the past. 100% of the proceeds go to these charities, and last year that was more than $2.5 million from the weeklong event alone.
The full schedule for Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 is full of games, streamers, and hosts to make for a fun (and full) week. The event is a marathon, and there’s no stopping once it starts. The stream will last all day and night for those seven days.
Of course, that means a plethora of games, including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Crazy Taxi (which will also feature a live band), Astro Bot, Super Meat Boy, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The event itself will kick off with a Pikmin speed run. Fans can check out the full list of games and the schedule here on the Games Done Quick website.
Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 will be held at the Wyndham Grand in Pittsburgh. Those not in the area can tune in on Twitch.
