505 Games, Supernova Games Studios, and KUNOS Simulazioni have officially released Assetto Corsa Rally Update 0.6, which introduces three new rally cars, new multiplayer functionality, Photo Mode, and the first set of community content creation tools.
The three iconic vehicles in Assetto Corsa Rally Update 0.6 span different eras of rallying: the four-wheel-drive 1980 Audi Quattro Gr.4, the 1999 Peugeot 206 WRC, and the 2018 Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. Each car has been digitally recreated with a focus on detail and realism, giving players new options to tackle the game’s rally stages.
Photo Mode lets players capture their runs with a range of display and visual settings. Alongside the photography features, private lobbies have been added, letting players create password-protected multiplayer sessions for up to 16 participants. Hosts can adjust several event settings during a session, including the selected stage, car, weather, and other conditions.
Assetto Corsa Rally Update 0.6 also marks the first major step toward expanding the community’s content creation capabilities, now letting players create and edit custom liveries for up to 25 cars outside of the game using the livery.json file and accessible vehicle graphics. They can modify a range of visual elements, including stickers, livery colors, paint roughness, metallic values, and coat gloss, with common image and photo editing software supporting the process.
To make custom livery creation more accessible, Supernova Games Studios has included a detailed guide directly within the game’s folders. The guide is designed to walk players through the process regardless of their previous technical or creative experience, providing a foundation for the community to begin creating and sharing custom designs.
Assetto Corsa Rally is a high-fidelity rally simulation focused on precision and realism, featuring 3D laser-scanned cars and stages, professional co-driver support, and dynamic weather and road conditions designed to capture the challenges of point-to-point rally racing. It is still in early access development as Supernova Games Studios continues to expand and refine the simulation ahead of its eventual 1.0 release.
