Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.8 builds on the foundation set by Version 0.7, enhancing the car editor and particle system, and further expanding both content and multiplayer options.

Among the headline additions is South Africa’s Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, recreated in its modern FIA-certified configuration. The track joins the simulator alongside three new vehicles: the KTM X-Bow GT2, KTM X-Bow GT4 and Volkswagen Golf 8 R.

Update 0.8 expands user-generated content, allowing players to use community-made vehicles in multiplayer, with SHA verification to ensure everyone runs the same version. Players can also create and apply custom liveries to supported cars.

Server admins now have more control over multiplayer sessions, with new tools such as customizable starting grids via an updated entry list system.

Virtual reality support gets its biggest upgrade yet in Early Access, adding foveated rendering with eye-tracking for supported headsets, adjustable pixel density, dedicated VR graphics settings, supersampling, and performance improvements for better frame rates and visuals.

Other improvements in Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.8 include dynamic VRAM management, better windshield and weather effects, updated tire and track temperature simulation, multiplayer stability fixes, and further graphics and audio enhancements.

Kunos said development of weather systems and dynamic track behavior remains ongoing.

Separately, the studio announced that maintenance will take place between July 7 and July 9 to support the rollout of Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.8. During the maintenance window, multiplayer servers may experience temporary interruptions, and new dedicated server purchases will be unavailable.

As compensation, all active game servers at the start of maintenance will automatically receive a 48-hour service extension. While there is no exact release time for Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.8 yet, estimates suggest it will be available after this downtime.

Assetto Corsa EVO is available in early access on PC via Steam for $39.99. For more information on this and any other content coming to the simulator, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
