Today, Ubisoft has officially revealed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is releasing July 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store).
The remake was officially revealed last month during an event that detailed the Assassin’s Creed across all of its future titles. Not much info was revealed, as the news was only confirmed via an image of Edward Kenway standing on a ship with a logo for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced in the bottom right.
We now know that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be led by Ubisoft Singapore and that it will be a faithful remake of the original 2013 title, rebuilt from the ground up and powered by the latest Anvil engine. Using this, they will add in updated visuals and improved gameplay, including parry‑driven combat, improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics, and new narrative content.
PC requirements for the game have been revealed, with the minimum specs (1080p/30fps) starting at GTX 1660/Ryzen 5 3600, while 1440p/60fps requires an RTX 3080/RX 6800XT, and 4K/60fps demands top-tier GPUs like an RTX 4090/RX 7900XTX, all with mandatory ray tracing. You can see more about what the requirements are here.
The standard edition of the game will be available here for the price of $59.99, but there will also be Deluxe and Collector’s Editions for a higher cost:
- Standard Edition – Includes the base game.
- Deluxe Edition – This digital-only edition includes the base game, plus the Master Assassin Character Pack and the Master Assassin Naval Pack.
- Collector’s Edition – Includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus premium physical collector’s items: Edward’s Figurine, Edward’s wearable metal brooch, exclusive SteelBook®, cloth map, and more.
Anyone who pre-orders will receive Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack, which includes an exclusive costume for Edward Kenway, a pair of swords, and a set of pistols.
For anyone who hasn’t played the original, players sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway, a rebellious pirate captain drawn into the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars during the Golden Age of Piracy. As Edward pursues glory and fortune, he crosses paths with legendary figures such as Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack, while the fate of everything the pirates have built hangs in the balance.
