Embark Studios has revealed the patch 1.13 notes for Arc Raiders and its Headwinds update, which is introducing a new solo versus squads option, Bird City map condition, new items and quests, and plenty more.
To start with, players who are level 40 and higher will be able to choose a Solo vs. Squad option in matchmaking lobbies. Players who take on these lobbies solo will receive 20% more XP at the end of the round, whether they successfully extract or get defeated.
Additionally, players can set their parties to Open, letting any of their Embark or platform friends join in matchmaking. This will also let them join mid-round, letting them wait in the party lobby until the next match. Squadmates can also invite others to parties as well.
A new map condition for Buried City is also part of the Arc Raiders Headwinds update: Bird City. This adds bird nests in chimneys around the map, and these nests can hold items. There will also be more bird traps and ziplines, all of which will lead to more activity on rooftops.
Buried City will cycle in and out of rotation weekly.

Additionally, there are new items, including two new Epic Augments, and seven new quests.
Players can now build a Trophy Display. It has five different steps, which can be completed with parts from different ARCs. Each step will add something to the Display Case while also giving the player rewards.
These rewards include blueprints, Raider Tokens, a Howl emote, a guitar, 300,000 Coins, and more. As of now, there’s no end date for when it can be built, and it won’t be impacted by Expedition resets.
Of course, the Arc Raiders Headwinds patch 1.13.0 also includes plenty of bug fixes and adjustments, which players can learn about in the official patch notes here.
