Today, SCS Software released American Truck Simulator Update 1.62. The full release comes after last month’s beta, which let players test new exploration activities, truck visual improvements, updated tire designs, and changes to the in-game radio ahead of the full release.
Specifically, American Truck Simulator Update 1.62 introduces new exploration content, improved truck interiors, updated Goodyear branding, and changes to the in-game radio. It also expands the Road Trip Tourist Boards feature with discoveries across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Washington, Louisiana, and Nebraska, and each completed Tourist Board rewards players with a new postcard.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, we also introduced a special Cross-Border Tourist Board, featuring exploration locations across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Players who own all the required map expansions and discover every associated location will receive an exclusive Route 66 Air Freshener accessory.
American Truck Simulator Update 1.62 also expands the Improved Material System to the All-New 2025 Volvo VNL, bringing enhanced interior lighting and more realistic material rendering. The truck has additionally been added to AI traffic, giving players another vehicle to encounter on the roads.
The Goodyear Tires Pack has received refreshed paint jobs featuring the company’s latest logo and updated color scheme, bringing the designs in line with its current branding.
Meanwhile, the Escape station in Game Radio has received a playlist update. Eleven new songs have been added, while tracks that previously caused copyright concerns have been removed. The changes give content creators a longer, stream-safe listening experience.
