From the start, players will notice a difference in the game – the title screen is new. The new design is sleeker and easier to navigate for those using a controller or steering wheel. It’s also more clear than the old title screen, making it easier to find things like options and mods.

There will also be new loading screens for the Oregon DLC.

Grain hopper trailers are getting new animations when players load and unload, expanding on the first ones in the 1.50 update. This will impact every grain hopper loading area, including the depots in the Nebraska, Kansas, and upcoming Arkansas DLC.

In a blog post, developer SCS Software said that these new animations will also apply to chip vans when transporting specific materials.

The Oklahoma DLC is getting a complete I-44. The interstate was previously missing the middle section that ran through Oklahoma City. The same road will be getting two new truck stops and two new depots.

Additionally, the Texas DLC is getting updated with native vegetation. Instead of having standard pine trees, loblolly pines will be around the state. These trees are also seen in the Arkansas DLC, which is another state they’re native to.

The FlowBelow Tractor AeroKit will have new wheel covers and fairings for a few vehicles. This is a cost-management addition to trucks that cuts down on fuel costs. The new options will be available on the following vehicles:

  • Freightliner Cascadia
  • Kenworth T680
  • Mack Anthem
  • Peterbilt 579
  • Volvo VNL
  • Western Star 5700XE and 57X

A few quality-of-life changes were made to the options menu. Players will be able to search for any option to quickly find it. Plus, new categories for Accessibility and Interface have been created to help players.

Additionally, there’s also a new way to change the menu background. Players will be able to preview the changes before making the change, too.

Players can opt into the open beta by going to the game’s properties on Steam. From there, a betas option will be available.
