Today, SCS Software released a brand new truck by Kenworth to the lineup included in its popular sim American Truck Simulator.

The truck is the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition, and it’s completely free, so you can drive it right now without paying a dime.

The addition is certainly timely, as Kenworth revealed the Legacy Edition of its classic truck only a month ago. Production will be limited to 1,000 units before the long run of the W900 ends in 2026, so it’s great that we get to celebrate the long history of this machine in American Truck Simulator.

On top of that, the truck comes with all the special paint jobs available in the real world. Below you can read a list.

  • Midnight Sun
  • Gold Nugget
  • Liberty VIT 200
  • Shasta
  • Yukon
  • Icon
  • Yosemite
  • Comet
  • VIT Edition
  • VIT Edition Metallic
  • Oh Canada!

We also hear that the classic W900 will get a new cabin variant, the 72″ Flat Roof Sleeper.

Below you can enjoy a look at the truck via a dedicated trailer and a gallery of screenshots.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.54 has recently been released with new features and improvements.

The next DLC is likely Iowa, and you can check out its truck stops, more towns, and Road Network. SCS Software also recently announced Louisiana (alongside its truck stops and welcome centers) and Illinois.

Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
